Roof Koreans and the LA Riots

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

During the tumultuous time of the LA riots, there were very few individuals who felt safe in their stores. Instead of standing by and watching their hard work get burned to the ground, these brave individuals (eg. James Cho) took to the rooftops with their weapons, namely AR-15s and shotguns. Thus the term 'roof Koreans' was born. This was at a time where the public faith in police was at an all time low, and individuals such as James Cho took it upon themselves to do what they know best, survive.
