Roosmarijn Christine Elke Lamijn de Kok (Dutch: [ˈro:sma:rɛin də ˈkɔk]; born 18 December 1994) is a Dutch fashion model, best known for her work for Victoria's Secret.[2]
Early Life[edit]
De Kok was born on December 18, 1994 in Amerongen, the Netherlands,[3] which she describes as a “small village with 2,000 people and one supermarket [where] everyone knows everyone”.[4] She has two siblings, Isabelle and Valerie, who are twins. Before she started her career as a model, she had intended to go to university after high school to study economics and business in order to become an accountant.[4]

She was discovered at a birthday party where another guest, who was a model, told her to look into modeling and sent a picture of her to Wilhelmina Models. After video-calling the agency[5], she was asked to come to New York City and signed with the agency in early 2013.[4] De Kok is currently signed to Women Management in New York, Oui Management in Paris and Monster Management in Milan.[6]
She has been in campaigns for brands such as Balmain[7], H&M, Nasty Gal, Pacsun, Victoria’s Secret, Tom Ford, Wilfox[5] and Giuseppe Zanotti, and appeared in editorials in publications such as the Brazilian, Russian, Thai, Taiwanese, Italian and British editions of Vogue, and the Australian, Chinese, Indonesian, Norwegian and Singaporese editions of Elle. Her runway career includes shows for Phillipe Plein, Calzedonia, Balmain, Ralph Lauren, and the 2017 edition of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.[8] In a cover story of the Daily Front Row, De Kok was named the “model du moment”.[4]
In 2018, De Kok launched Roos Unlimited, "a global brand specializing in lifestyle, fitness, and welness collaborations, investments, and marketing".[9]
Personal Life[edit]
De Kok has lived in New York City since she started her career at 18 years old.
In 2014, De Kok was accused of stealing chocolate and fish oil from the Tribeca Whole Foods.[10] The following court case was picked up by multiple news outlets.[11][10][12] All charges were dropped after she served a day of community service at a soup kitchen.
Next to modeling, De Kok has invested in and collaborated with various companies in the United States. She also is an IIN health coach.[9]
