Rosary Christian Hospital
Rosary Christian Hospital is a medical facility in Okara, Pakistan, owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Faisalabad.

Construction of Rosary Christian Hospital started in 2001 when Italian Father Rino Metrini became the first Camillian priest to visit Pakistan.[1] Since 2004, Rosary Christian Hospital, a nonprofit charitable institution in the village of Rehmpur, has been serving the people of Okara and surrounding areas. The Hospital Administrator in 2011 was Father Aldino Amato, an Italian missionary. In 2007 they received a grant of 2,737 USD from Italy for the prevention and cure of the eye diseases.
Tuberculosis clinic[edit]
TB is one of the diseases which is spreading rapidly in the country. It is a major cause of mortality and a threat to the health of the Pakistani population. Seeing the need for TB control, the Hospital started a TB clinic in 2004. A chest specialist comes to check the patients once a week. All TB patients admitted for treatment are provided with free food, medicine and board and lodging. The Government is helping with medicines and diagnostic instruments which are needed for investigations. In 2009 there were 20-25 TB patients admitted, both male and female.[2]
School project[edit]
Father Amato has also been working for many years in the school of the Rosary Christian Hospital. The School has more than 2,000 students from kindergarten to high school. In 2008, 43 re-cycled computers were donated by an Italian Linux user group Golem.[3]
