Ross Lazaroo-Hood

Ross Lazaroo-Hood (born 1976) is a British/Irish entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Ross was born in Larne, Northern Ireland, where he spent his youth and young adulthood growing up in the Seacourt estate.

His academic career started at Larne and Inver Primary School before moving to secondary school at Larne High School and relocating to England to complete his honours degree in Management and Financial Services at the University of East Anglia.

Starting his career in London within the global Insurance market, a career that started as a junior claims broker and progressed to class underwriter at one of the main Lloyd’s of London’s syndicates. He is the Founder of the insurance group Landmark Holding Group, which includes Landmark Underwriting, leading it as Group CEO. 2021 saw Lazaroo-Hood sign the long-term agreement with his home town's Irish Premiership club, Larne Football Club[1] to be their Official Sponsor, Principal sponsor, and renaming the main stand at Inver Park the Landmark Stand.[2] In 2022 Lazaroo-Hood stepped down from his role as Group Chief Executive and took the role as Owner / Director on its Board.[2]

Currently Ross is Global CEO/ Co-Chairman of The Clearer Group,[3][2] which includes Soilèir Group[4] in Northern Ireland, The Hydration Hub and its flagship brand Clearer Water.[5]

His other roles include Co-Founder/Co-Chairman of his family’s charity The RUSA Foundation that he co-founded with his long-term friend and business partner Sitki Gelmen to provide a better future to those in grass roots competing sports and underprivileged families and disadvantaged children in the U.K., Turkey and Malaysia.[6]

In 2023 Ross Lazaroo-Hood, together with James and Ruth McIlroy plus Sitki Gelmen, set up the bid panel to bring the World Athletics Road Running Championships to Northern Ireland’s Antrim Coast in 2025.[7] If the bid is successful, the event will utilise the Antrim Coast Half Marathon course, which starts in Larne town centre and sweeps along the scenic Antrim coastline.

2023 also saw him join the Board of The Antrim Coast Half marathon as Director. Ross is also in his third year as President of the Westminster Wanderers Football Club, a London based FA Chartered Standard Sunday league club established in 1999.

Ross is also a known voice supporting ‘Dyslexic Thinking’ as he himself was diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age.[8]

He was granted Freedom of the City of London in 2021.[9]
