Ross Pomerantz
Ross Pomerantz (born March 24, 1989.[1]) is an Instagram Influencer known as Corporate Bro while also an MBA Student at Stanford Graduate School of Business [2]
Background[edit]
Ross attended Marin Academy and Occidental College before working in sales at Oracle Corporation and Glassdoor. [3] In college, he was a left-handed pitcher for the Occidental Tigers appearing in 23 games with a 4.25 ERA.[4] He played baseball professionally for the Sonoma County Grapes in the North American League posting 2 wins, 3 losses, and an ERA of 4.21 for the 2012 season. [5] Presently he is a full-time MBA student at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Social Media[edit]
Ross maintains his Social Media presence with the stage name of Corporate Bro.[6][7] He is primarily a comedian publishing weekly content that is a parody on working in sales, specifically at software companies in Silicon Valley akin to his background.[8] Starting by publishing content on Vine in 2015, his content garnered attention leading his team to continue publishing material leading to his ascension. As his alter ego, Ross also performs public speaking such as the keynote at SAP Concur Ignite. [9] He currently maintains a presence on Instagram[10],YouTube[11], LinkedIn[12], and Twitter[13]. He used to film most of his content outside of normal business hours to avoid conflict until he was forced to stop as his media presence grew too large and was recognized by people interviewing. [14]
Controversy[edit]
Corporate Bro has previously been deleted from LinkedIn on the grounds that he is not a real person. [15] In response, he began a social media movement that led his account to be reinstated after a few days.
