Rotary Riverside Park - Brainerd, MN[edit]

The park is located in the heart of the City of Brainerd, Minnesota on the east bank of the Mississippi River. The park consists of approximately 195 acres with an estimated 5,465 front feet on the Mississippi River, over 1,250 feet on Little Buffalo Creek, 45 acres of wetland, 1.9 miles of trails, and a 14 acre field. It is one of the largest municipal parks in the State of Minnesota

Rotary Riverside Park is an urban natural retreat which serves as a natural resources based city park for use by individuals, families and groups to explore, enjoy and participate in low impacts outdoor activities, wildlife observation and educational opportunities. Observations of plants and wildlife made in the park using the iNaturalist app can be viewed here. As of December 2022, iNaturalist reports that there have been 613 observations made with 298 different species of plants, animals and fungi identified within the park boundaries.[1] A presentation about the Birds of Rotary Park was published to YouTube.[2]
