History[edit]
Round Trip Brewing Co. opened to the public on Seaboard Industrial Blvd in the Underwood Hills neighborhood in Atlanta on February 19, 2021.[2] The building was previously occupied by Zep and was built for liquid manufacturing. Beer was first available from the taproom only to give the team time to tweak recipes and gather input from customers on their favorite beer. In May 2022, Round Trip Brewing started distributing kegs to bars around Atlanta including their Straight Outta Munich Spezial Helles lager, Isar Haze Hazy IPA, and Oktoberfest Märzen.[3]
In August 2023, Round Trip Brewing announced a second taproom would open in the Avenue East Cobb in Cobb County, GA. The location is slated to open in Spring 2024.[4]
The name 'Round Trip' was conceived by Craig and Amy to represent their relationship: they met at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA moved to Denver, CO then to Fort Worth, TX and Austin, TX before returning to Georgia to open the brewery. It was considered their 'round trip'.[5]
