Royce Buckingham

Royce Scott Buckingham (born 1966 in Richland, Washington) is an American novelist. He grew up near the Hanford Site, attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, and studied law at the University of Oregon.[1][2]

In his early career, Buckingham wrote numerous short stories that appeared in fantasy magazines. He also published several books, including the Demon Keeper and Mapper series.[3] The former became a three-part series due to the success of its debut novel Demon Keeper, and the Random House publishing company secured two more books with Royce Buckingham. As early as 2006, 20th Century Fox obtained the film rights to the Demon Keeper novel.[4][5][6][7] His book The Dead Boys won the Sasquatch book award for Washington State.[8] While Buckingham's previous publications are mainly for younger readers, his newer books Impasse, a thriller, and Die Klinge Des Waldes, a medieval fantasy, are aimed towards an older audience. Also, it is notable that his books are published internationally in Germany and Italy.[3]
