Rozvelt is a Canadian company founded in Montréal, Quebec, that develops a face masks for hunting and wildlife observers designed to reduce scent from exhaled breath.[1][2]
History
Rozvelt was founded in 2024 by Nicholas Monette and George Korkejian. In August 2025 the company announced pre-sales of VEKTR and reported raising C$450,000 from angel investors, amid a challenging hardware fundraising environment.[1] Media coverage in Quebec has profiled the product's proposed use case in hunting and wildlife observation, and positioned the company among early examples of hunting innovation in Canada's hardtech sector.[3]
Technology
The VEKTR headgear separates inhalation and exhalation paths: ambient air is inhaled without filtration, while exhaled air is directed through a central cartridge that uses activated carbon to adsorb volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The device is intended to reduce the breath component of a hunter's scent signature.[1][2] Activated carbon adsorption is a widely used technique for removing VOCs from air streams by capturing molecules on high-surface-area carbon surfaces.[4][5]
Scientific background
Research on the "human volatilome" has identified hundreds to thousands of VOCs emitted by humans, with breath a dominant emission source compared to skin.[6][7] Studies also note that clothing can absorb and retain odorous compounds, while airflow and turbulence can transport exhaled plumes over distance—factors that inform Rozvelt's approach to hunting scent control and scent elimination for hunting.[8][9]
Intellectual property
As of 2025, Rozvelt's product remains patent pending. The company has filed multiple utility patent applications covering the VEKTR mask's exhalation-only filtration system, magnetic attachment mechanism, and replaceable activated-carbon cartridge.[1]
Media coverage
Rozvelt has been covered in major Quebec and Canadian outlets as well as specialist technology and outdoor media. Major Quebec coverage includes profiles in La Presse[10] and the Journal de Montréal[3], and a Radio-Canada[11] segment on scent management for hunters.
Sector media noted the company's incubation and product focus (Garage & Co,[12] Laval Innov,[13]), while video features and podcasts and discussed the VEKTR in field contexts (100% Chasse Pêche[14]; Aventure Chasse Pêche[15]; Amiral Venture[16]; 6e sens[17]).[18][19][20][21][22][23]
