Rudolph Northwaite
Early life
Rudolph Northwaite Van Helsing (July 19, 1873 – August 28, 1969) was a British astrophysicist who was believed to have unintentionally stated that life exists in other worlds. After graduating Harvard, he received a scholarship award for most sources cited in a single semester, resulting in Northwaite choosing to become an aspiring astrophysicist. Born into a wealthy merchant family in Tehran, Iran, Northwaite was always considered a naturally gifted child, but moved to London at age eight with his family to pursue any school that best catered to individuals similar to him. Hence, being educated at the boys' school of London, Northwaite was the top of his class and graduated school with a good grade point average, and thus, moved to Boston at age 18 to join the Harvard physicist's union.
Adult Life
At age 24, Northwaite decided to go back to London one summer to temporarily join the physicist's union at the University of London, and after that one trip, he continued to go back to London to that same union. Thus, he stated that "it brought back memories" and it "had the chance to catch up with old friends".
Later Life
At age 58, Northwaite began feeling sick on a regular basis and chose to resign his position as union member at Harvard for permanent retirement and moved back to London to buy out an apartment to isolate himself. As Northwaite grew sicker, his closest friends and family grew concerned and thought he was already "going to die" when they thought he was still out there to spread his legacy, but Northwaite protested and said "my fate is inevitable and the prognosis for my illness will probably likely be for several more years to come". After that, Northwaite's closest friends and family continued to regularly visit him, but as Northwaite grew even sicker, he began to isolate himself to the point that he totally banned visitors from visiting him.
