Ruffwear
Ruffwear, Inc. is a manufacturer of canine outdoor gear in Bend, Oregon.[1] Founded in 1994 by Patrick Kruse, Ruffwear, Inc. was incorporated in July 2000. Their products are now sold in more than 1,500 retail locations[citation needed] in the US and Europe.[2]
The first product, the "Quencher" collapsible bowl, was first sold at the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1994. The company now also sells harnesses, dog packs, lifejackets, dog boots, collars, leashes, and dog beds.
Awards and recognition[edit]
Ruffwear was named to Outside Magazine’s national “Best Places to Work”[3][not in citation given] list in April 2010 and ranked No. 41 out of 50 selected companies.
The company's corporate social responsibility was recognized by Oregon Business Magazine as one of the “100 Best Green Companies to Work for in Oregon”[4] in June 2009.
