Ruscism (related to Russian Fascism,) a form of totalitarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and the economy that rose to prominence in 20-21 century by Russia.

Political ideology and social practices of the Russian Federation of the late XX, early XXI century, based on the ideas of the "special civilization mission" of the Russians, "seniority of the fraternal people", intolerance of cultural elements of other nations; on totalitarianism and Soviet-style imperialism, the use of Russian Orthodoxy as a moral doctrine and on geopolitical instruments of influence, primarily energy for European countries, military power, in relation to countries within the sphere of influence of the Russian Federation.

The revival of the term is due to the President of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria Dzhokhar Dudayev.
