Russian Energy Week (REW) (Российская энергетическая неделя) is the largest international forum dedicated to current energy issues. The forum is attended by government representatives from various countries, heads of major Russian and foreign energy companies and organizations, scientists, and experts. The forum has been held since 2017. In some cases, the program has spanned fewer days than seven, meaning the term "week" was arbitrary. The forum is organized by the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Government of Moscow, and operated by the Roscongress Foundation. The organizing committee is headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia for Fuel Energy Complex Alexander Novak. On September 27, 2016, Russian Energy Week was established by order of the Russian government at the suggestion of the Ministry of Energy .
