On February 19, 2009, Bloomfield became the first person to perform Bernard de Bury's Premiere Livre de Pièces de Clavecin (first book of harpsichord pieces) outside France since the eighteenth century. Bloomfield had transcribed the music from its archaic notations for her doctoral work at Claremont,[2][3] later publishing a critical edition with Edwin Mellen Press.[4]
