Ryan Lane-Ellis
Ryan Lane-Ellis (born 22 December 2006) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Central District Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Primarily playing as a rebounding defender or midfielder, he represented South Australia at the 2024 AFL Under-18 Championships.

Early career
Lane-Ellis originated from the Tanunda Football Club in the Barossa Valley. He progressed through the Central District junior talent pathway, where he established himself as a premier ball-winner. In Round 3 of the 2024 season, he was awarded the SANFL U18 MVP nomination after recording 36 disposals and 10 marks against Sturt.
He finished the 2024 Under-18 season averaging 24.1 disposals per game. He was also a key contributor in the Bulldogs' finals campaign, including a 19-disposal performance in the 2024 SANFL U18 Grand Final.
SANFL career
Ahead of the 2025 season, Lane-Ellis was identified as a "Powerade Breakthrough Player" candidate. Central District coach Paul Thomas highlighted his elite decision-making and composure during senior match simulations.
He transitioned into the senior program in 2025, featuring in the club's Reserves and League squads. As of 2026, he wears the number 25 guernsey for the Bulldogs.
Representative football
Lane-Ellis was selected to represent South Australia in the 2024 AFL Under-18 Championships. He played all four matches of the national carnival as a creative distributor from defense.
