Early Life

Ryan Christopher McGuire was born in Chicago on July 25, 1978 to Cutters Studios founder, Tim McGuire. Ryan’s formative years were spent growing up in the advertising business. After venturing to Switzerland for high school, he subsequently chose Sophia University in Tokyo for his college studies. Upon graduating, Ryan did a quick stint in marketing before joining Cutters Studios in Chicago.[3] In 2005, he joined the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball as a personal interpreter to Tadahito Iguchi, the first Japanese player to win a World Series.[4]

Career

In 2004, Ryan joined Cutters Studios in Los Angeles, where he captained branded film campaigns for Volvo, Cadillac, Coca-Cola, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, as well as the launch of music video hosting service Vevo.[5] He has scripted and directed popular commercial spots for All Nippon Airways[6], Infiniti, BMW, Mini, Nike, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, YKK, Baycourt Club, and Hyatt Hotels.
