Rye Dilley (born c. 2012–2013) is an American student, designer, photographer, journalist, and student-editor from Battle Ground, Washington.[1][2] Dilley is best known for leading the 2025 revival of the student publication Your Battle Ground Public Schools and for their work in student journalism and Battle Ground Public Schools and community communications.[3]
Career
In early 2025, Dilley spearheaded a small student team to revive Your Battle Ground Public Schools, a student-led publication that previously ended in 2013.[4] The relaunched Issue 001 was released in June 2025; Dilley is credited as editor-in-chief on district pages and in coverage by local press. The project involved students from multiple district schools and close collaboration with the district communications team and faculty advisors.[1]
In April 2025, Dilley claimed second place in the Greater Vancouver Chamber's chapter of the National Civics Bee competition.[5][6]
They are also cited as a communications intern at Prevent Together: Battle Ground Prevention Alliance.[7][8]

Dilley has contributed letters to local news outlets and opinion pages, including letters published in Clark County Today and The Reflector, voicing opinions on local school board races and education funding topics.[9][10][11]
