Ryzentosh
Ryzentosh (a portmanteau of Ryzen and Hackintosh) is the use of a non-Apple computer running macOS as its operating system, and is essentially the same as an AMD-based Hackintosh. It is capable of using the Ryzen and Threadripper processors designed by AMD.
Origin[edit]
The same process using Intel processors is known as a Hackintosh.
The term has started to appear in mainstream news articles such as German Tech Magazine Heise Online[1] stating that the AMD CPU from a Ryzentosh results in far better performance at a better price than a Mac Mini
Other Media[edit]
Reports of a pre-configured 'Ryzentosh', known as the 'Velociraptor' shipping with both macOS and Windows 10 surfaced online. However the supplier appears to lack credibility,[2][Doesn't use the term Ryzentosh] due to payment only in Bitcoin, as well as the fact that the original site is non-existent.
