S.A. Quinox

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

S.A. Quinox is a Belgian poet, sharing her poetry on social media since 2017. Using mostly Facebook and Instagram, their following grew each day, resulting in the poetry that we know today.

Works[edit]

In 2018 S.A. Quinox made their debut with their first work, "Befallen" and with almost day-to-day, 1 year after that, already enough material to bundle to publish "Pandemonium". Their work gathered attention and barely 9 months after that, July 2020, "Tales of Lacrimosa" saw the daylight. S.A. Quinox described this volume as following:

"This is my book of healing, but it is also much more than that. It is a book of yearning, a book of madness, and the embrace of the dark night of the soul. Dip your toes inside. Know that it is safe. Realise that you are not alone, and know that everything you feel is valid. There is deep reasoning behind every word we speak and every action we take"

2 days later, "Tales of Lacrimosa" was given 6th place in the Amazon Top 10 hot new releases, Poetry by Women. In the following month, S.A. Quinox' reputation grew exponentially, reaching a milestone in August 2020, reaching 50,000 likes and 75,000 followers on their Facebook page and so far, over 2,000 followers on Instagram. Despite the big following, the writer stays humble and keeps writing, even hinting upcoming works to look forward to. Fellow writers are full of praise of their works, with Melody Lee, author of 'Lilies & Lace & Dark Pretty Things' saying:

"Her words have a punch that at times bite with edgy rawness, while a next stanza cascades the spirit with a gentle calming breeze. It is quite remarkable actually, how a writer is able to transcend the reader in a few short lines. Quinox's style intrigues me; it is mysterious, it is unique, it is intelligent...it is as if I am reading a poet from the past, an art long lost."

The writer also has done collaborations in the past, one being "Smitten"[5], an anthology, published in the same period as "Pandemonium".

Literary style and themes[edit]

SA Quinox' poetry delicately balances between classical and modern poetry and often has a Gothic undertone. Most readers experience their work as "melancholic" and "raw emotions penned down ever so gently". Amelius aka Kalen Dion, author of "Blessings for a Heart in Bloom" said S.A. Quinox' work contained "dichtomic, expressive mechanisms".

As previously mentioned, the writer handles emotional themes like love, hurt, healing, coping with complex feelings and moving on.
