SAM is an Israeli startup company based in Tel Aviv, that provides home network and IoT security solutions. The company produces software solutions that integrate within home gateways and provide security and management over the home network.

History[edit]

SAM was founded in April 2016 by Shmuel Chafets (Active Chairman) and Sivan Rauscher (CEO), and its advisory board includes Nadav Zafrir, Israel Grimberg and Liran Grinberg, the founders of Team8.

The company has raised $3.5 million in seed funding round led by Blumberg Capital. [1]

In May 2017, SAM began its partnership with Israel’s largest telecommunication company, Bezeq,[2] and currently provides its service to hundreds of thousands of clients.

SAM is also working with leading chipset manufacturers, such as Intel, to integrate SAM's solutions into next generation gateways.[3]

Technology[edit]

At the core of SAM’s solution underlies a software agent which is installed on the home gateways. The agent provides protection over the home network by using techniques such as DPI[4] domain reputation, and also enables patching for vulnerabilities such as KRACK[5] within days of initial detection.

SAM’s solution uniquely identifies every connected device on the network. Then, using its AI-powered cloud, the technology applies the appropriate security policy for each device and detects any occurrence of anomalies in the network.
