SD2SNES

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The SD2SNES (abbreviation of Secure Digital to Super Nintendo Entertainment System) is an open-source[1] flash cartridge for the eponymous system. It has been named as an example of proper flashcart design.[2][3] The primary concern critics of other flash carts have raised is a mismatch between the 3.3 V signal of the cart and the 5.0 V signal of the console when connected to bus. The SD2SNES is able to translate between signals to avoid this issue.[2]

The SD2SNES can interface with external devices other than the console. One such use of this is direct interaction with gameplay by audiences on Twitch.[4]

Like other flash cartridges, the SD2SNES may raise moral and legal concerns, as part of the broader topic of copyright infringement.[3]
