The International Conference on Sensor Networks [2] aims to bring together international experts concerned with current improvements in low cost and short-range radio technology. These developments, alongside the advancements in wireless networking, will empower remote ad-hoc sensor systems to become widely available. In these systems, every node might be furnished with an assortment of sensors, for example, acoustic, seismic, infrared, movement, biomedical and compound sensors with a more elevated amount of data induction related with identification, implanted flag preparing and systems administration of the information. This meeting offers the opportunity to gather scientists and professionals to facilitate and encourage the share of knowledge concerning innovations in sensor networks, including Hardware of Sensor Networks, Wireless Communication Protocols, Sensor Networks Software and Architectures, Wireless Information Networks, Data Manipulation, Signal Processing, Localization and Object Tracking through Sensor Networks, Obstacles, Applications and Uses.

SENSORNETS[3][4] has been the stage for several Keynote Lectures in the last seven editions, providing the contact of the attendees with very respected and renowned experts. [5] Among them: Kort Bremer[6], (Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany), Nancy Cam-Winget[7] (Cisco Systems, United States), Nirwan Ansari[8], (New Jersey Institute of Technology, United States), Roger Wattenhofer[9], (ETH Zurich, Switzerland), Ingemar Cox[10], (University of Copenhagen, Denmark and University College London, United Kingdom), Mischa Dohler[11], (King's College London, United Kingdom), António Câmara[12], (YDreams, Portugal), Paul Lencioni[13], (Cutthroat Communications/Crimson Consulting Group, United States).

The conference is made of a various sort of sessions, namely poster sessions, technical sessions, tutorials, special sessions, workshops, doctoral consortiums, panels and industrial tracks. The papers presented in these sessions are made available by the SCITEPRESS digital library, among others and published in the conference proceedings.[14][15][16][17][18][19][20] Some of the best papers are selected and the authors are invited to write an extended version to be published by Springer.[21][22][23][24]

The current edition of the conference (2019) will be held in cooperation with IFSA[25] and IET[26] and will be indexed by DBLP[27], THOMSON REUTERS[28], EI[29], SCOPUS[30] and SEMANTIC SCHOLAR[31]
