SHAJIL ANTHRU
Shajil Anthru (1968) is an Indian short story[1] writer, novelist[2], poet[3], critic[4], columnist [5], editor[6], playwright [7], and translator[8] writing in Malayalam [9] and English [10] . Born in Thiruvananthapuram [11] in 1968, Shajil Anthru started writing short stories and poems at a young age. His first published creative writing is an English poem at the age of 11. Thereafter he published stories, poems and essays in leading newspapers and magazines in Malayalam and English. He published eight books which include poetry collections, short story collections, essay collections and novels.[12] India Book of Records – awarded Record Title “Shortest love story” to Shajil Anthru. The record for authoring the shortest love story was set by Shajil Anthru (born on January 27, 1968) of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The book Ey….Chu comprises two love stories and sixteen chapters wherein the only chapter of the second story is the shortest with merely 4 lines and 4 words. [13] Shajil Anthru is the founder of Zeroism, Fishbone Poetry and Reflectoem and is now the Editor of Litterateur Redefining World, the transnational e magazine. He is also a Reviewer and member of editorial team of International Research Journal of Engineering and Technology, International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering Technology and Science, International Journal of Electronics, Electrical and Communication Engineering and Contributing editor of Keralabhooshanam Magazine. LIFE AND CAREER[edit]
Shajil Anthru was born in 1968 in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. After his short span of early education in Sarah Tucker, Tirunelveli [24], Tamilnadu, he joined St Roch’s Convent [ 25] , Shangumukham, Trivandrum to complete his lower primary school. Thereafter he went to St Joseph’s High School in Trivandrum [26] where he completed matriculation [27]. He joined Government Arts College, Trivandrum [ 28] for Pre-degree. He graduated from College of Engineering, Trivandrum [29] in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation. Later he completed his Master’s degree in the same discipline from College of Engineering, Trivandrum.[ 30] He started his profession as a Lecturer in Model Polytechnic College, Vadakara [31]. Then he joined Hindustan Latex Limited, Trivandrum [32] as Instrumentation Engineer and worked there for six years. Thereafter he returned to teaching as Lecturer in Instrumentation in Polytechnics, Kerala.[30], [33], During his career in Polytechnics, he took interest in Quality initiatives and acquired certification as Qualified IRCA QMS Auditor, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt [34] and CMI Level 5 Certificate Management and Leadership.[12] In Hindustan Latex, he was involved in Engineering and Project departments, Design & Development, QA/QC/Vendor Inspection along with documentation and implementation of QA / QC / Quality systems ISO 9000 standards in the department. In Polytechnics, Shajil Anthru introduced a new approach in the learning process by introducing an institutional curriculum along with the academic curriculum which meets the goals for preparation for a career. The principle of soft skill training was introduced for the first time. The assessment method of students was restructured with emphasis on continuous improvement on technical and non-technical skills. The system was documented and communicated. (2004-2005). He motivated students and equipped them to face a competitive environment after their studies. He guided projects like “Centralized Control of a gloves plant using PLC as the only controller, Plastic to fuel prototype, Low Cost Sanitary Napkin Incinerator and Prefab building using Fiber reinforced Precast Concrete Sandwiched Panels”. He introduced Earn while Learn concept and Production center inside the campus. He was the institutional coordinator and faculty for NBA accreditation. As Principal, he conducted programme “Polython 2019” a one month marathon effort to change the attitude and ambience of the Polytechnic. He experimented with a unique Leadership style “Poetic Leadership “which formed the basis of the book – “Redefining Literature; New order of the day” authored by himself.[35]
His interest in literature and writing started in his early days. He was inspired by his father K M Anthru who was a writer of short stories and literary essays. Shajil Anthru started writing short stories and poems at a young age. His first published creative writing is an English poem at the age of 11. Thereafter he published stories, poems and essays in leading newspapers and magazines in Malayalam and English. He published eight books which include poetry collections, short story collections, essay collections and novels. Throughout his life, while working as a technocrat and academician, he found time in writing, reading and experimenting in literature. When K M Anthru was sick and bed ridden, to fulfill his dream as an Editor of a magazine, Shajil Anthru started an online transnational magazine “Litterateur Redefining World”. Shajil Anthru is currently the honorary Editor of this free magazine.[ 12]
Shajil Anthru is married to Mini H S, an engineer and artist and has one daughter Roshni who is also an artist.[12]

Asia Book of Records confirmed on May 11, 2021 Shajil Anthru (born on January 27, 1968) of Kerala, India, set a record for authoring the shortest love story.
