Sloan is a YouTube personality and social media gossip content creator who rose to fame by publishing videos on his self-titled channel. His videos have more than 100 million views in total. He has gained over 41,000 followers on his Sloan Instagram account, where he shares modelling photos.

Early Life[edit]

Sloan Hooks was born on December 11, 1996, in Fairfax, Virginia, he grew up doing competitive swimming for most of his life where he holds the state records in his home state of Virginia. Sloan enrolled in acting school at the age of 10 and was featured in several plays Including shows like Sucessical, Honk, and other theatre productions.

Sloan went to college at James Madison University where he got his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He went on to work for a government consulting firm named ICF International. Sloan worked as a data scientist for 3 years for the department of defence.

YouTube[edit]

Sloan created his YouTube Channel titled “SL04N” on December 14th, 2019. The channel amassed a following of over 100,000 subscribers within the first year. His channel eventually dropped the number “04” from the name and is currently under the title “SLOAN.” The channel has a following of over 600,000 subscribers and over 111,000,000 million views. His channel includes content on a variety of trending topics. Sloan has made videos on the Free Britney movement, exposing Hollywood predators, and shining light onto the struggles of child actors. Sloan has been a major part of spreading awareness about the Free Britney movement. Sloan first spoke out about Britney Spears conservatorship in April 2019. These videos have since been deleted, but Sloan has gone on to create over 100 videos about Britney’s conservatorship battle. He has been open with his subscribers about the legal threats Britney’s conservatorship team made to Sloan for his content. He also attended the free Britney rallies at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles.

Sloan has a viral video about Bob Saget where he discusses some of his past crude jokes. This video resulted in legal threats from Bob Saget. He ultimately was able to silence Sloan, but since the video went viral, it left a lasting impression.[1][2][3]

Sloan has had a notorious feud with Jamie Lynn Spears. He has exposed her involvement inside of Britney Spears’ conservatorship battle. Sloan has made several videos about Jamie Lynn Spears and her book “Things I Should Have Said.” He went on to post a viral interview with Alexa Nikolas, a former co-star of Jamie Lynn’s. Hanna was apparently called out by one of her older sisters for stealing her artwork and using it in their poetry book. At age 15, Sloan came out as a member of the LGBT community. He has been an advocate for gay rights on his platform and has been outspoken on social media. Sloan has a dog named Bunny who is often featured on his youtube page. Bunny the dog is adored by Sloan's fans and has an Instagram page BunnyTheShichon. She is a Shichon breed which is a Shih-Tzu mixed with a bichon frise.
