SME Jay
Christopher Dion Wade Junior (Born December 17, 2000), better known under his musical persona SME Jay of Snag Millions Entertainment[1] is an American rapper, singer songwriter and producer from Charlotte, NC. Wade is best known for his hit song "Close To Me" that currently has over 35,000 plays on Apple Music along with "Real Love" and "Right Now" , which led to his signing with the independent label Five Star Empire in Columbia, SC.

Early Life[edit]
SME Jay was born Christopher Dion Wade Junior and raised in the eastern part of Charlotte, NC with his mother and siblings. Growing up SME Jay stumbled between numerous sports teams, eventually become a dual sport athlete in middle school running track and playing basketball for his school. Jay eventually chooses football once he enters into high school playing football for 3 years (2015-2018) for his school team. In the summer of 2018 he quit football to take on music full time. Before ever recording in a studio, he made several songs on his phone and computer influenced by Earl Sweatshirt, Frank Ocean and XXXTentacion.
Career[edit]
In 2017, SME Jay began releasing music on SoundCloud under the name Jayy Lotto, including the singles "Lost" and "Aggression".
June 18th Jay released his first mixtape titled "Eight Piece" on Spinrilla debuting a "dark lyrical kinda rap" influenced Earl Sweatshirt. Jay then took a break from music until reuniting with his long time child hood friend known as SME Camo who introduced him to already standing group Snag Million Entertainment. On July 6th Jay was presented the opportunity to join his long time friend SME Camo's group[2], adding the acronym SME to the front of his childhood nickname.
"We All Human" was the first song released on September 14, 2018 after Jays joining of the group[3]. Jay was 17 years old. The song was paired with a homemade video of Jay sitting in the living room of his home in Charlotte, which soon began to spread online. After the release of "We All Human" Jay began to morph his sound into a "more melodic sound"[2] experimenting with his first R&B EP "Love & Motels"
In December of 2018 SME Jay and his group were introduced to an artist showcase held by the Coalition DJs of Charlotte were they were offered an artist development contract.
In March of 2019 SME Jay terminated the development contract, then going on to sign with Five Star Empire. After signing, Jay then begins to focus more on the R&B/Soul genre of music going into 2019 releasing songs like "Close To Me", "Real Love" and "Right Now".
On July 5th Jay released an Extended Playlist of 4 songs entitled "Self Righteous" .
