SNAFU Records is an independent record label and music tech company founded by CEO Ankit Desai in 2018.[1] It currently has offices in Stockholm and Los Angeles.[2]

The company claims to be “the world’s first AI-enabled record label," and uses its proprietary algorithms to identify “undervalued” independent artists from data collected from music streaming and social media platforms.[3] SNAFU's staff consists of “technologists, A&Rs, producers, and creatives,"[3] including songwriter-producer Carl Falk as Creative Director.[4]

In February 2020, SNAFU raised $2.9 million in seed funding from TrueSight Ventures, Day One Ventures, Agnetha Fältskog of ABBA, Spotify executive John Bonten, and headstart.io founder Nicholas Shekerdemian among others.[5] Other shareholders and advisors include Per Sundin (former CEO of UMG Nordics) and songwriter-producer Savan Kotecha.[6]
