SNESAmp

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

SNESAmp is a Winamp input plugin used to play SPC sound files. It is (as of March 28, 2008) at version 3.3.4. It is currently being developed by "Anti Resonance" of Alpha-II Productions in C++ and x86 assembly using Borland C++ Builder 5.

The plugin is very configurable and presents a variety of features, including looping, high output sampling rates, realtime pitch & tempo controlling, .rsn archive support, ID666 tag support, and ZSNES savestate audio playback support.

SNESAmp can even produce higher-quality output than the SPC700 itself by outputting the sound at a higher sampling rate and using more complex interpolation (such as cubic interpolation) than the original SPC700's Gaussian interpolation and using the built-in special "High Quality" enhancement feature.
