Media Content[edit]
SOFREP produces a range of media and content including podcasts, documentaries[2] and television shows[3], an outdoor survival gear store[4], and a digital book publishing division[5]
Breaking Coverage[edit]
On numerous occasions, SOFREP has been among the first media outlets to break critical news[6] stories of national and global significance involving Delta Force[7], Marine Raiders[8] and the highest levels of American politics[9].
Political Stance[edit]
The SOFREP editorial team and the content published tends to lean slightly right of the center, choosing slightly more conservative narratives over liberal.[10]
Controversy[edit]
SOFREP was at the center of controversy in 2018 when they published an ISIS propaganda video on Youtube, replacing the ISIS watermark with their own, and spurring backlash from some in the special operations community.[11] SOFREP has since defended the decision, citing journalistic integrity and freedom of press.[12]
