SP Studios is a London-based creative media hub, founded in 2006 by Music Artist Shojon. The studio specializes in audio/visual production and broadcast.[1]
History
SP Studios was founded in 2006 to cater for a gap in the local market, allowing up-and-coming talent a platform to record at a professional standard for an affordable price. Over the years, the studio has gone from strength to strength, working with many local and established artists, gaining credibility within the industry and also expanding into other areas, but its fundamental ethos has remained the same. SP Studios’ impeccable success with its audio studio meant expansion was inevitable, with the studio’s founder having a very broad and eclectic appreciation of all art, both musical and visual. With a dedicated team, they have gone on to find success in visual media on an equal level.[2] October 2018, SP Studios, along with Peabody, TACO (Thamesmead Arts and Cultural Office) & Thamesmead residents, created community radio RTM FM, of which SP Studios, at launch, was given 48 hours of programming weekly to enable local creatives to have a voice, either hosting their own segments or featuring on Shojon’s residency. [1]
Philanthropy
SP Studios sponsored local football team Eltham Town Youth and created the Aftersessions Youtube platform, which gave a number of artists their first spotlight to showcase their work.[3]
