Switch TV Kenya

Switch TV is a television station owned by the Kenya Red Cross Society[1]. The station operates from the Society’s complex in South C, Nairobi, Kenya on Red Cross road. It was first conceived as Cross TV in 2016, a station which only aired documentaries on the Kenya Red Cross activities across the region. The channel was rebranded to Switch TV and launched on 8th October 2018.[1]. It went on air on 24th of September 2018, with the Reality TV show Cutting It In The ATL at 5pm, East African Time.

Switch TV's target audience is the youth.[2] They also have VOD/OTT platform running on their B2C website, Switch TV website and via a mobile app, Switch App where viewers can watch the linear channel and catch up on latest episodes of the shows.

Being a “For Youth” TV station, Switch TV leverages on Social Media Networks to interact with the viewers in addition to the channel's Free SMS Short code 22999. It is available across the country as a Free To Air channel on Signet via Digital TV and Set Top Boxes.[3] The station joined DStv on 27th February on channel 268.
