Kyle William Lindsey (born August 6, 1989) is an American YouTube personality, automotive reviewer, pharmacist, and philanthropist. He began his career on the platform in 2007, where he posted car reviews for all different kinds of vehicles to his YouTube channel, Saabkyle04. He frequently notes his diversity when it comes to car reviews, making him a car enthusiast. He is most commonly credited for creating the car review trend on YouTube, and being the main inspiration and predecessor to modern-day popular car reviewers such as Doug DeMuro and SpiderWayne.

The channel name "Saabkyle04" was a nod to his first car, a 2004 Saab 900 SE Convertible, which he states was a very sentimental vehicle throughout his early-childhood years. Unfortunately, the vehicle was horribly unreliable, prompting him to trade it in for a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

Career

Early Career

After high school, Lindsey knew that he wanted to start his own YouTube channel, a new video-sharing social media platform during that time in 2007. He tells his audience that he loved cars all his life, deriving from his father's deep sentiment that was passed down to him; therefore, he started posting dealership “Start Ups” and “In-Depth Tours” of new or interesting vehicles regularly on his channel, Saabkyle04. Working at his family dealership at the time, he had many opportunities to film and review the cars his family business received as inventory.

Higher education

In January of 2010, Lindsey was accepted into the YouTube Partner Network while he was attending pharmacy school at Wingate University, where he pursued Pharmaceutical Studies as his major. "The vast majority of my time was spent focusing on my studies and doing everything I could to grow my channel" he states on his personal website. After he graduated with a doctorate in pharmacy in 2013, "he dedicated himself to pushing the content to higher standards."

Present-day content

The Saabkyle04, LLC is his full time career, which holds his YouTube channel rights, his website, his branding efforts, and his merchandise line. In an October 2015 video, he tells viewers that the channel has taken so much time, he has not utilized his college degree at all, and instead, proudly runs his YouTube channel, which is a common occurrence with modern-day popular Youtubers. He has recently been filming more personal kinds of content, giving his Saabers, the name for his fanbase, a better look into his life; for example, he recently has been posting his classic car project series, including his restoration of his grandfather's 70 year old Ford Grand Deluxe Tudor. Among other content types are his home construction update videos, which documents his construction process of his 4000+ sq. ft. home, and his other at-home projects such as his service station-themed shop construction.

Kyle Lindsey married his current wife, Christal Lindsey, while they were both in pharmacy school at Wingate University. Frequent viewers of his channel (Saabers) know Christal from the many appearances made in his videos posted to his Saabkyle04 YouTube channel.

While they do not have any children, they have a Corgie named Veyro. Fans speculate that kids may be in their future with the finished construction of their home, which was documented on his channel.

Lindsey has said that one of his favorite parts about making videos is the opportunities presented to help some of his children fans who have disabilities enjoy a day with him through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He has documented the times he has spent with these children on his YouTube channel, one time in 2011 and a more recent time in 2017.
