Saar Singhal
Saar Singhal is an Asian American composer, music director, and producer whose work spans film, television, and video games.
Early Life and Education
Singhal grew up with classical piano training and a rigorous jazz saxophone background. At the age of 17, he was a member of the SFJAZZ High School All-Star Big Band[1] as well as the California Jazz Conservatory's Youth All-Star Group. With these ensembles, he performed at a number of prestigious music festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival and the Savannah Music Festival. Singhal attended Columbia University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in music. He started his composition studies under film score composer and professor Michael Patterson at New York University.[2]

Career
Singhal spent several years working out of A.R. Rahman's studio, with programming and additional music credits on Rahman's Milli (2022), Pippa (2023), and Maidaan (2024). He has also worked with composer Mychael Danna as score coordinator and additional music composer on No Hard Feelings (2023), and co-wrote the song "Swarg Tara" for Pyre (2024), set to lyrics by the poet Gulzar.
In 2021, Singhal was recruited by nCORE Games to write for the mobile title Fearless and United Guards (FAU-G)[3]. He later released an EP of music from the game on streaming platforms, and produced menu tracks for nCORE's ICC Cricket Mobile. Singhal is currently the music director for nCore Games.[4]
Singhal has scored multiple independent films, including Louis Lagayette's The Hole (2020) and Samantha Ferrand's La Casita de la Mariposa.
