Saeid Dehghan, born September 9, 1972, is an Iranian human rights lawyer, writer, and civil rights activist[1].[2]
Dehghan is an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and Iran Central Bar Association (ICBA). He has taught human rights courses at bar associations and academic institutions around the world and has served as lead counsel in high-profile cases in the Islamic Republic, including French tourist Benjamin Brière[3] and Iranian-French academic Fariba Adelkhah.[4]
Dehghan is frequently quoted on high-profile cases in Iran by international media outlets, including the case of Vahid Afkari[5], the brother of Navid Afkari, a champion Iranian wrestler who was executed in Shiraz, Iran, in September 2020.
