St. Peter Julian Eymard was founded in 1966 by the support of the parishioners of Mooroolbark Parish and was built and opened in 1991. In 2009 a new junior building was created and in 2011 a new performing arts building, computer lab, library and 6 new classrooms were created. Finally in 2018 a new middle level building was created.[1]

St. Peter Julian Eymard's main high school feta school is Mount Lilydale Mercy College however students often choose to enroll in schools such as Aquinas Collage in Ringwood or government schools such as Yarra Hills Secondary College or Lilydale High School or Lilydale Heights Collage.[2]

St. Peter Julian Eymard Primary School currently has about 600 students and is looking in to include more students in the future.[1]
