Sakura no Toki: Sakura no Mori no Shita o Ayumu (サクラノ刻 -櫻の森の下を歩む-) is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Makura and released on February 24, 2023[1] for Windows. It is the sequel to Sakura no Uta: Sakura no Mori no Ue o Mau (サクラノ詩 -櫻の森の上を舞う-) released in 2015.

Development
The teaser website of Sakura no Toki was made pubic on July 28, 2017[2][3], two years after the release of Sakura no Uta. A trial version, which includes the first chapter of the game, was published on September 10, 2021[2][4]. On the April Fool's Day of 2022, Makura announced that the game's release date is set to be on November 25, 2022[2][5], however it was postponed twice[2][6][7][8] before finally released on February 24, 2023.
Compared to the prequel, the game engine has changed from Ethornell to Artemis Engine[9], and the resolution has also been upgraded from 1280x720 to 1920x1080.
Reception
Sakura no Toki won the grand prize, as well as the best heroine award (Ai Natsume), users' pick award, scenario award, graphics award and eroge brand award of the Moe Game Awards 2023[10]. It also achieved 1st place in the overall category[11], as well as the 1st place in scenario[12], 3rd in graphics[13], 1st in music[14], 4th in opening movie[15], 2nd (Misuzu Honma) and 8th (Ai Natsume) in character categories[16] of the 2023 Bishōjo Game Awards on Getchu.com.
