Dr. Saleh bin Mohamed Al Fahdi, an Omani researcher, thinker and intellectual, has been a member of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman, since November 1, 2023, after Sultan Haitham bin Tariq issued Royal Decree No. 75/2023 appointing members of the State Council. He also heads Values Centre.
His extensive participation in literature, media, and strategic research in leadership and management confirms his tireless pursuit of excellence, prestige, loyalty to the homeland and its wise leadership, and aspiration to its prosperous future. Qualifications
- He holds a doctorate in public administration (human resources development specifically) from the University of Hull, United Kingdom, 2011.
- He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Hull, United Kingdom, in 2007.
His areas of interest:
- Human values: interested in enhancing values in society, and the foundations of the renaissance of societies. He established (Values Center) and has many media programs and books in this regard.
- Media: He has many television and radio programs, and writes articles in many newspapers, where his opinions receive wide circulation, and his articles receive great attention.
- Leadership and improving the performance of government institutions: Due to his specialization in human resources, he presented many ideas in his writings and publications about leadership, management, and improving the performance of institutions, such as the book (The Making of Man and Building Nations), and he urges the selection of competencies and the elimination of bureaucracy and complexity for the development of the nation.
- Developing and modernizing education: He has broad interests in the field of education and its modernization, which he made clear in his book “It’s Time for Us to Change Our Concepts About Education” and his television program “Renaissance of a Nation.” He presented ideas about preserving education for national identity and arming the learner with the capabilities and skills of the future.
- Thought and Literature: He published twenty-five books on moral values, poetry, theatre, thought, and travel literature, the most recent of which is the book “The Royal Values of Sultan Qaboos bin Said” and the Poetry book “The Collection of Wisdom.”
- Research and studies: He has many studies and research in Arabic and English in the field of identity, values, education, media, citizenship, and administration.
