History
The Salisbury Observer was established as a publication on July 11, 2020 and operates in Salisbury, North Carolina.
On June 10, 2020, the Salisbury Observer was founded as an independent publication that covered the protests that were held in Salisbury for the unjust killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, "Dare When Others Don't" was created as a mantra. It is based on the belief that being a voice for change involves taking action on injustices others dare not act on.
On January 1, 2021, the Salisbury Observer started operating as a progressive newspaper. Being a voice of progressive activism, we believe that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is a human right regardless of sex, race, and/or ethnicity.
