Sally Aall, born Sally Sample was an American philanthropist and author. She was key in the restoration of the Swiss cottage in Cahir, Ireland, providing funding[3]
Biography
Swiss Cottage Restoration
The Swiss cottage was originally built in 1810 by Richard Butler, 1st Earl of Glengall and designed by renowned architect John Nash, as a retreat for entertainment. During the mid-20th century, the cottage fell into disrepair. In 1985, restoration began on the cottage, and Sally Aall, through her charity, the Port Royal Foundation, provided generous funding[4].
Death
Sally died at the age of 78 in Seattle from lymphoma.[2]
