Sam Edwards is a Community organizer from Columbia, SC, who ran for the South Carolina House of Representatives in 2018 against Chip Huggins.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2013, and is a small business owner specializing in marketing for national and local nonprofits and brands[1]
Sam Edwards is a co-founder of a local chapter of Indivisible movement Indivisible Midlands[2]
She was named a top 10 trailblazing woman candidate to follow by feminist advocacy group Ultraviolet PAC.
Sam Edwards received 6,273 votes (33.93%) to Huggins’s 12,206 (66.01%) in the 2018 Midterm.[3]
