Sam Grabiner (born 1994) is a British playwright and screenwriter.
His debut play Boys on the Verge of Tears premiered at the Soho Theatre in 2024 in a production directed by James Macdonald. The play won the Verity Bargate Award, and Grabiner proceeded to win The Stage Debut Award for Best Writer, and the 2025 Olivier Award for Best New Production in an Affiliate Theatre.
His next play, Christmas Day, directed by James Macdonald, ran at the Almeida Theatre in 2025/26.
Early life
Grabiner was born in 1994 to Anthony Stephen Grabiner, Baron Grabiner, and Jane Aviva Portnoy. He studied at the University of Cambridge, where he was part of the Cambridge Footlights.
