Sam Penry[edit]
- Sam Penry born in Chelmsford[1] BSc(Hons),PGCert [2][3] is a British [4] Senior Diagnostic Radiographer.
- He is best known for being awarded the prestigious title of "UK Radiographer of the Year" by the professional body 'The Society and College of Radiographers' in 2017.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] He was presented the award by Chief Allied Health professions officer Suzanne Rastrick on the International Day of Radiology.[13]
- He is also known for winning 'The Eastern Region Radiographer of the Year Award' in recognition for his passion for research and the radiography profession, advancing practice, dedication, politeness and his care to both patients and staff.[14]
Research[edit]
- In addition to writing a series of publications in health journal, 'Synergy & Imaging Practice'[15][16], he recommended the creation of a new standard and was asked to join the British Standards Institute committee to help develop the first ISO (international standard) on feeding tube radiopacity[17][18]
