Samanea Saman of Jarabacoa

The Samanea Saman of Jarabacoa is a Samanea Saman tree that stands at the center of the town of Jarabacoa, in the parque Duarte[1]. The age of the tree is unknown, but was photographed fully grown in 1851 when the center square of the town was inaugurated, making it atleast 200 years old[2].
The tree is Jarabacoa’s eco-cultural emblem, and is considered an important landmark in the town.
