Samantha Downing (San Francisco Bay) is an American crime writer, based in New Orleans.
Life and career[edit]
Her first book, My lovely wife (later translated into French as Pas de secrets entre nous and into Spanish as Mi adorada esposa) achieved a tremendous success among the public and also was nominated for the Edgar, ITW and Macavity in the United States, and for the CWA in the United Kingdom and was awarded a Grand Prix des Lectrices. >[1] [2][3]
In addition, Amazon Studios has acquired film rights to this Samantha Downing’s international bestseller, and is partnered on the film with Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films.[4]
Her second book, He started it, was released in 2020 and instantly became an international bestseller. [5]
Her third thriller, For your own good, released in the USA on July 20, 2021 and an instant bestseller on the USA Today bestseller list, is "Set in a prestigious private school, with nosy parents, overzealous students, and a teacher who just wants to teach everyone a lesson..."[6] [7]
