Early Life and Family
Samarjeet Ghatge is born on 29 January 1949 in Kagal's prestigious Ghatge Family. He is a descendant of Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj. This family has always maintained the legacy of social work done by Shahu Maharaj. Raje Vikramsinh Ghatge, Samarjeetsinh's father, was a well-known figure in the field of Co-operation. Shrimant Suhasinidevi Ghatge is Samarjeetsinh Ghatge's mother.
Shrimant Pirajirao (Bapusaheb Maharaj) Ghatge, brother of Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, was the sovereign of the independent state of Kagal. His son, Shrimant Jaisingrao Ghatge was the grandfather of Samarjeetsinh Ghatge. Shrimant Pravinsinh Raje and Shrimant Dilipsinh Raje are paternal uncles of Samarjeetsinh Ghatge. Navodita Ghatge, wife of Samarjeetsinh Ghatge is helping him in his social work. The couple has a son named Aryaveer.
Education
After his schooling, Samarjeet Ghatge graduated with Commerce Degree. He then did his CA from Pune and completed his internship there.
Career
Samarjeetsinh Ghatge is the former Chairman of the Pune Housing and Area Development Board (MHADA).
His career in the Shahu Industries started with being the Director in 2015 and he is now the Chairman of Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Milk and Agro Producer Company. This brand is gaining popularity with its quality products. In 2015, Samarjeetsinh Ghatge accepted the Chairmanship of Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Co-operative Sugar Factory. He is the President of Shahu Agricultural Co-operative Society (Shahu Krishi Sahakari Sanstha).
He has been the motivational leadership for Kagal Bank and Educational Institute run by Shahu Industries.
Social Work
Ghatge family is following the legacy of Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj in the field of social work, so is Samarjeet Ghatge.[citation needed] Father Vikramsinh Ghatge is his ideal in socialism.
He has founded Raje Vikramsinh Ghatge Foundation to continue with the work his father started- to help people with providing assistance in the social, educational, health and medical issues. Rajmata Jijau Sanstha is working for women empowerment. Navodita Ghatge helps Samarjeetsinh Ghatge heartfully in his social welfare programs. The main focus of Samarjeetsinh Ghatge is on the development in education, employment and tourism sectors.
Political Career
After Vikramsingh Raje's untimely demise, Samarjeetsinh Ghatge won the election of Shahu Factory by huge number of votes. In the subsequent period, he also won unopposed in the elections of Raje Bank and Krishi Sangh. In Kagal Municipal Elections, he supported the candidates who gave priority to the development of society. He has also contributed greatly to the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections. Gram Panchayat elections of various villages in Kagal taluka were also conducted under his able guidance. Samarjeetsinh Ghatge is developing his new identity as a young and strong leader in the areas of Kagal and Kolhapur.

3. Healthcare Facilities: To provide medical facilities to ensure the well-being of society. To build hospitals equipped with the latest technology. To avail better medical facilities. To raise healthcare awareness among people through various camps and activities. To implement health programs for women and children.
4. Women Empowerment and Development: The society with capable women progresses rapidly. To help women to be independent, educate, stand on their own feet with the help of a job or business and make progress. To avail the educational and employment facilities to the women.
