Early Life[edit]
Sameer Inamdar is an eminent Dhrupad Flautist. He is an exponent of Dhrupad style Flute ( Bansuri). He is an inventor and pioneer of Dhrupad oriented curved flute, which is being played first time ever by using 10 fingers.
Sameer Inamdar was born in Sangli, Maharashtra. He began his initial training at the age of 15 . Afterwards, he was trained in dhrupad music under Dagarvani .

His invention of smallest bamboo flute (measuring as small as 3.5 inches! ) was entrant in Limca Book of Records in 2009
He is the founder of Dhrupad Gurukul in Pune, which is a non residential institute for Dhrupad; where many students from all over the world learn Dhrupad style Bansuri (Flute). This is one of its kind of institute for flute playing with Gurukul methodology.
He also filed the patent for this invention in 2018.
Sameer Inamdar is an eminent Dhrupad flautist. His academical background is graduation in computer science; but by profession, he is fully devoted to Dhrupad music - through flute and vocal.
Being creative by nature, He has invented and developed Dhrupad Curved Flute (New type of patented Bansuri).This valuable and never-before invention allows the flautist to play bansuri by using all the 10 fingers (10 holes! ) vs what traditional flautists use 6 fingers (6 holes) to play the flute. Dhrupad Curved flute plays in 3.5 octaves.
He composed various compositions in Sanskrit and Braj languages, in several Raags.
