Samhain was a livestream Halloween concert by American singer-songwriter Monica Vinco, held in support of her fourth studio album, Emotions (2020). It was broadcast on October 31, 2020, as part of American Express' Unstaged series.
On September 25, 2019, the singer cancelled her Daddy Issues World Tour due to her mother's death and took a hiatus from her career and social media. In early 2020, Vinco entered arrangements with Live Nation Entertainment for a new tour, supporting Emotions. The tour was planned to be announced in late March and take off in September but following the COVID-19 pandemic, plans were scrapped.
On August 30, 2020—the one-year anniversary of the album—Vinco announced she partnered with American Express for a livestream Halloween special, that would "give Emotions the show it never got". The following day, tickets were available for purchase via the singer's official website. Samhain was rehearsed and filmed at Culver Studios in Culver City, California. Vinco was accompanied by her band and a group of all-male dancers, who wore face coverings and corresponding costumes.
The Halloween-themed concert featured dark and rustic sets, complete with Vinco's dancers dressed as monsters. The show was divided into three segments: Woods, which saw Vinco as Little Red Riding Hood amongst a gathering of werewolves; Occult, featuring references to witchcraft and black magic; and Transylvania, referencing Bram Stoker's Dracula and other works of vampire literature. The concert concluded with an encore inspired by the music video for Michael Jackson's "Thriller", seeing Vinco and her dancers as zombies.
Critics praised the concert for its visuals, Vinco's stage and vocal performances, and Halloween tributes. On January 5, 2021—the singer's twentieth birthday—the concert was released to the public. On December 25, 2027, Vinco released a live album of the concert, entitled Emotions: The Samhain Special.
