Samir Acharya (Nepali: समीरआचार्य; born September 21, 1987) is a Nepali singer, songwriter, and composer. [1] [2] He is the eldest son of Mr. Gobinda Acharya and Mrs. Shila Acharya.

Musical career[edit]

Samir Acharya started his musical career in 1997 with his first song Recorded in Music Nepal "Woth Ma Lali" He Started his Music Career as the Vocalist of One man Band. After a long hard struggle and dedication in music, he was able to capture the attention of many Nepali music-lovers with his second Song Sustari Sustarai from the album Taraz [3] (2012) which instantly made him a household name in Nepal. After the success of his first album, he has recorded 12 more songs for his second album "Bada Gajabko (2014). His most recent album is Collection of Samir. Samir Acharya is considered as the king of stage with his energetic Performance.

He has won the Rapti National" Award' for Best song on two occasions, first for Sustari Sustari and then for BadaGajabko. After 2014 his musical career goes more up with his solo song track " Duniya Beglai Chha" which got 6.5 million views in YouTube. One after another hit on YouTube followed by "Chatta Salam Chha" [4] (2016) 3millin, "Ghin Ghin Bajeyo Madal" _No._1_Nepali_Website_in_Europe-5|[5] (2017) 3 Million, "Pitch Road" (2018) [6] 10 million Views. Musical style[edit]

Most of Samir Acharya's earlier songs have a melodic pop style to them, depicting the loneliness of a young lover. While his first two albums Taraz" and "Bada Gajab ko",[18] had the more melodic style, In all his successive albums, he has tried to add a new musical element and contribute something different to the Nepali music industry. His song Haina Bhandeu Na [19] from the Collection album was critically acclaimed by many for its folk and pop mix and the affluent use of musical instruments.
