Samu Gabor (born October 9, 2002)[1] is a Hungarian-born film director, writer and producer. His films explore stories in the intersection of politics, migration, and racial justice.[2] He currently attends Sarah Lawrence College in New York City.
Gabor started his own production company, GSTFilmstudio, in 2013 to produce, direct, write a variety of commercial, documentary, fiction, and non-fiction short films collaborating with a wide range of handpicked creative teams across continents.[3] His goal with filmmaking is to share stories not only to entertain, but also to start conversations.[4]

Gabor was born on October 9, 2002, in Budapest, Hungary. He and his family left Hungary in 2016 and moved to Berlin, Germany[5]
Career[edit]
Gabor started making films at the age of 9.[6] In 2018 he directed After the Boat a film about integration of migrants in Berlin.[7] In 2019 he wrote and directed an Amazon Prime short called True Colors of Society that touched on racial issues.[8] Gabor also shot and edited the Cleveland International Film Festival nominated short, Relevé.[9] In 2021 his documentary, Hammers of Peace, won the Grand Prize at Barrymore Film Center's short film festival.[10] The film also won best documentary film at the Ithaca Short Film Festival.[11] Hammers of Peace is now available[12] on IndiePix Unlimited.[13] The film features talking heads and has received critical acclaim.[14]
