Samuel H. Patterson
Samuel H. Patterson was an American Democratic Party politician from New Jersey, who served on the Monmouth County, New Jersey Board of Chosen Freeholders.
A son of James Patterson, and grandson of Jehu Patterson, Samuel Patterson was born about 1838 in Middletown Township, New Jersey.
In 1870, he was elected to the Board of Chosen Freeholders representing Middletown Township. He would serve three, one-year terms.[1]
Samuel H. Patterson died on December 2, 1884.[2]
In addition to his father and grandfather, four brothers also served in public office, namely, Jehu, James and C. Ewing, who each would serve as county clerk, and John, sheriff.
