Samuel Perry Animashaun, ("Broda Shaggi"), is a popular Nigerian comedian, actor, scriptwriter, musician[1] dancer, visual artist and director. He came into limelight some years ago when he became an Instagram sensation with his skits and name "broda shaggi".[2]

Background
Perry, also popularly known as "NO 1 Fine boy agbero"[3] born July 6th, 1993 in Lagos State,[4] is an Ogun State indigene. He attended Mayflower Junior School in Ikenna, where he proceeded to Heritage School in Lagos. He also proceeded to study Creative(Visual) Art at the University of Lagos.
Early life and career
As a child, he always had the passion to act in drama. He starred in many roles playing major characters like Inspector Perry, a policeman, Professor Dele and Akonni. At this time, he was still known as Samuel Perry. He began taking comedy very seriously when he entered UNILAG. He got his name "broda shaggi" when he went to his mechanic's workshop and overheard some of the mechanics playing around with the character. He liked the prospect because of its funny nature as it really made him laugh, so he decided to use the name.[5]
Popularity, success and fame
The video skit which really brought him out was the "Jesus appeared in Mushin" video skit where he was asked by Aunty Shaggi what he would do if Jesus appeared in that vicinity. While portraying himself as an area boy in a Yoruba setting with "oya hit me" slang, he answered in a very sarcastic tone. The video since spread on social media platforms and has thousands of views and comments.
Achievements
In March 2019, Samuel Perry bagged an endorsement deal with Tradefada with a brand new 2016 SUV Honda Pilot model.[6] Also, in November 2019, he signed an endorsement deal with Merrybet as revealed on his Instagram page.[7]
